Frederick B. Zelley joined the firm as an Associate in 1995 and is now a principal of the firm.  He was previously associated with the firm of Bross, Strickland, Cary, Grossman & Icaza in Newark.  Prior to beginning his practice, Mr. Zelley was Law Clerk to the Honorable Marilyn Rhyne Herr in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hunterdon County.  He is admitted to appear before the New Jersey Supreme and Superior Courts, the Pennsylvania Supreme and Superior Courts and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Mr. Zelley’s practice is largely focused in Civil Litigation, Land Use and Real Estate.  His civil litigation practice includes disputes arising from Construction and Home Improvement, Consumer Fraud (home improvement, automotive, other), Tenancies, Real Estate Transactions, Estates and Personal Injury.  He is an approved Arbitrator and volunteer Mediator for the Superior Court of New Jersey.  Mr. Zelley handles Land Use matters before planning boards and zoning boards of adjustment in Somerset, Morris and surrounding counties, including but not limited to those of Bernards Township, Bernardsville Borough, Warren Township, Bedminster Township, Long Hill Township and Madison Borough.

Mr. Zelley is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Somerset County Bar Association.

Mr. Zelley is a graduate of Kinnelon High School and Washington University in St. Louis, and received his law degree from Rutgers Law School in Newark in 1992.  He is a lifelong New Jersey resident, presently residing in Randolph with his wife and five children.

Mr. Zelley is an Eagle Scout and is currently an Assistant Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 166 in Randolph.  He is Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Millbrook United Methodist Church in Randolph.  He is also an avid automobile enthusiast.
